I come here often with friends and family members as it has always been a very fine dining jbbq experience. The atmosphere is sophisticated, resulting in a cozy setting for a memorable dining experiences. The premium marinated meats sizzled to perfection, sending forth delicious scents that increased the excitement for every mouthful. Social aspect of grilling at the table created a lively mood and added an element of excitement to the meal. Lastly, a big thank you to our server Eugene. He was a very polite and informed staff, who gave flawless service to go along with the delicious food.
Everything was just great!
The waitress was very friendly and explained everything we needed to know.
We took the 85$ meal for 2 and the food was delicious! The fact you can make your own meat the way you want it was really nice.
Overall, an amazing experience! Highly recommended!
We went as a group and with kids, and despite their best efforts, we had an incredible time. The service was friendly and considerate, the atmosphere was great, and the food was the best! Everything we tried was delicious, and its presentation really made the food look and feel special. I know it sounds crazy, but we actually ordered 2 rounds of miso soup because it was that good. Cocktails were great also. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone without any reservations about doing so
Absolutely AMAZING service as always! We had a super attentive and sweet server named Logan! He was very quick to deliver food with a lovely smile on his face and he even helped my fiancé surprise me with a chocolate mousse cake slice (Absolutely Must Try!) Food was 11/10 as always. Clean tables and wait staff quick to clean as you finish plates to give you space. We ordered the “Enho” for $158 and it was worth every buck, the duck breast was perfect to balance out the amount of beef. Also had some uni (not my thing) but I love the amount of food options they have here and it’s an absolute great date spot!
THANK YOU LOGAN FOR MAKING OUR EXPERIENCE LOVELY!❤️
I love this place. The food and the ambiance are superb, and the service is also great. Definitely recommend this place. The lotus chips are crispy and really great. The Dynamite shrimp was delicious. All the barbecue items were great. The oreo cheesecake was very nice, not too sweet but perfect taste. The only thing was the sushi, which was okay, but other than that, all the food items were delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant, but be mindful as it is on the expensive side.
I think this just became my sweet spot for happy hours. Really loved the bartender from brazil. Every appetizer was phenomenal. The atmosphere at the happy hour bar was very friendly and we love every moment.
We have not eaten Japanese style BBQ, Yakiniku since this February we went to Tokyo, so we were excited to come here to eat!!
We wondered if we should order the set menu or not, but this time we chose several individual plates al la carte.
We love the premium ribeye and outside skirt especially.
They gave us 3 different sauces, veggie sauce plus wasabi one, soy sauce based one and miso based one. In Japan, it is common to eat with soy sauce based one so it is familiar for us. The other 2 sauces were new for us but still good.
The atmosphere and the interior of the store was very nice like an upscale stake house.
We noticed 2 big differences.
First, most of Yakiniku BBQ restaurants in Japan have ventilations or fans above us, so the smell keeps on us after we go out from there but we noticed that Gyuzo has ventilations in the stoves, so we do not have to care about the smell!!
Second, the volume of the fire is slightly weaker than the restaurants in Japan, so it takes a little more time to grill meat, but probably it is because of the safety protocol difference.
In Japan, we can cook meat faster but sometimes the fire gets bigger due to the meat fat and we need to use the ice cube.
When customers come in, the employees all say Irasshaimase(the Japanese common welcoming word), so it is nice to hear here as well.
And they take care of us really well.
It seems sometimes they come to check each table for the fire adjustment.
Over all, we like the restaurant.
If you don’t mind paying a high price for small portions of meat to cook at a place like Gyuzo Japanese, then I’d say that it would be a good place to take your date out.
However, to all of you vegetarians out there, I can gladly say that their Korean salad and peppers are pretty good courtesy of the person whom I say next to on a Friday night.
While I would appreciate it if Gyuzo served fried tofu and maybe okonomiyaki, all in all, it was a fun experience visiting the restaurant.
I think that I’ll let my boyfriend from Tennessee try it out himself since he’s a meat and beer sort of person. Though he has gone vegan one time.
Otherwise, I do love the service here, especially when the bar tender gave me a friendly wink. I guess he thought that I was feeling lonely that night. I know that he was just doing his job so I take no offense to the action.
